Some of our Club AW members, Martin, Barrie and Eoghan have decided to organise a Christmas Photowalk!

We are really excited to help support them with this venture. It promises to be a wonderful, festive photowalk, celebrating the joy of film and the diversity of our wonderful photo community.

All film photography levels welcome- beginner or pro! This is a safe space to learn from each other, share tips and tricks, make friends and enjoy the wonders of film photography!

The plan will be to meet at New Street train station at noon before following a route through the city snapping landmarks and exploring some hand picked areas in more detail along the way.

The photowalk will be open to all, and will run to a schedule, so you can follow the crowd or catch us up along the route.

We will provide a way to view the route, some advice on what to bring, and what subjects you might encounter. We have chosen locations with variety in mind, so there will hopefully be something for everyone.

Hi all!

I hope you are doing well and enjoying your 2023 so far. Please see the message below from our Club AW photowalk organisers about an exciting photo competition!

Those of you who attended the #clubawwalk in Birmingham back in December will remember that we mentioned a competition with three themes:
The Spirit of Christmas
Shadows and Light
Sign of the Times
Due to Christmas merriment, it’s taken us (Martin Jones, Barrie Anthony, and I) a little while to get organised on this. The benefit of that is you’ve had plenty of time to develop, scan, and review your shots from the day.
You will find the rules at the top of the linked form below which is how you enter images, please read the rules and questions carefully and answer them appropriately.
The closing date will be the 19th of March
We hope to judge / announce a winner for each theme 1-2 weeks following this deadline on a YouTube live stream with AW (Exact date, judges, and format to be determined)
