Monday 7th June UPDATE!

Hey Team - hope you're all getting excited for this Sunday's photowalk!

Please remind yourself of the COVID regulations before you arrive - the weather looks like it'll be very decent (25 degrees and sunny) so the good news is that it'll be easy to stay outside as much as possible. Please don't attend if you have any COVID symptoms, hand-sanitise regularly, and restrain from swapping cameras and lens etc

Details

We will meet at 11am at the AMT Coffee stall at the junction between Ship Street and Cornmarket Street (https://goo.gl/maps/cVjiaPeMeQALRxA57) It's a pedestrianised area with loads of food/coffee options for pre-walk refreshments, so we'll be ready to go at 11!

From there I've planned a meandering route that covers all the Oxford classics (towers and spires, colleges, gardens, river, park quirky shops, Harry Potter scenes) - but there will be flexibility so you can either follow the main bunch or break off into smaller groups to focus on certain subjects/areas and rejoin later :-) It will also be reasonably circular - so it will never be a long distance to catch up with the main bunch.

Before we set off on the day I will create a Whatsapp group so that if anyone gets lost/sees something epic to photograph then everyone can stay in touch.

For lunch I'm aiming to be in a park by ~1pm so that we can have a picnic. This will be much simpler than trying to navigate COVID rules and restaurants during Sunday lunch hour... You can either bring some food from home or buy from the many little cafes/coffee shops in town!

And then we will then finish in a pub garden! I'm in the process of booking somewhere special from 4pm (5 tables outside) - for drinks and chattering. When I've got it confirmed I'll update the group.

Transport

There are several options for parking: the Park and Rides are very good value and reliable - there's several around the city so find one that works for your direction! Otherwise the Oxford Tube from London or trains will take you right into the heart of the city. Allow 15 mins to walk from the train station to our meeting point; allow 40 mins from parking at a park&ride to getting in.
