Photowalk - Tower Hill to West India Quay

Meet in Trinity Square Gardens opposite Tower Hill station for a walk along the Thames to West India Quay.

We will make our way to St Katherine Docks, before heading on to Hermitage Community Moorings for their open day. There will be a visiting boat, plus a pop up café. Numbers on the pontoons are limited, so we will pause here for around an hour to give everyone a chance to take pictures and grab a snack.

We will then continue via Wapping High Street and the Thames Path to The Prospect of Whitby, where space permitting we can also stop for a break. The tide will be rising however, so it will not be possible to take photographs from the foreshore.

Finally we will walk along Narrow Street to Limehouse Basin, ending the walk by the Museum of Docklands at West India Quay.

Additional Information:

Fenchurch Street Station is closed on this date, and there is no London Overground service via Wapping. Nearest Tube station is Tower Hill, or DLR to Tower Gateway.

Due to the restricted space at Hermitage Moorings, this walk is limited to 20 persons. Please do not bring unregistered guests as they may not be able to join us for this part of the walk.

The pontoons at Hermitage Moorings may be slippery so please wear suitable footwear and take care not to lose any small items of camera equipment in the river!

I have not reserved any space at the Prospect of Whitby, so we may need to bypass this if it is busy. You are welcome to book your own tables and leave the walk here, we will aim to arrive around 1pm.
